Three winning teams. Book-voucher value is per team.
Choose Aina or Ravi. Qualifying portfolios across both cases compete for the return award; it is not a third mandate.
One award per student or team. For tutorials, allocate Best Overall Score first, then Best Recovery, then Lowest Maximum Drawdown. For the challenge, allocate the qualifying-return award first, then Aina and Ravi; use the next eligible entrant if awards overlap.
All entries must follow the published rules. Tutorial awards require a completed game and use the final results. Best overall simulation score means the existing overall simulation score, which combines performance, drawdown, diversification and rationale.
Every challenge entry needs a complete client thesis and must comply with the portfolio rules. To qualify for the return award, the allocation must also be defensible for the selected investor’s goal, timeline, risks and liquidity needs. Organisers assess client fit before ranking returns; a completed thesis alone does not establish fit. Two awards recognise client fit and reasoning; one recognises the highest return among qualifying portfolios across both cases. A return award does not prove suitability or a successful three- or 25-year outcome. Aina and Ravi entries are judged within their selected case on goal and horizon fit, fund-role evidence, risk and liquidity reasoning, portfolio construction, and the final reflection. Returns are considered in context rather than used as a substitute for suitability.
Tutorial ties: compare overall score, then lower drawdown, then higher final AUM, excluding the metric already tied. Qualifying-return ties in the challenge use the quality of the submitted case reasoning. Remaining ties are resolved by the organisers using the recorded rationale. No entry can collect two categories.
